I used to chain read books like a dedicated smoker goes through a pack and a half a day. That was K-12. When I hit college studying took all my time, and I had to limit myself to summers. I resumed reading during commute time when I worked in New York City. Then I had kids and changed genres to picture books, graduating to chapter books, reading aloud classics and new stuff to my family twice a day. These days I spend time at my computer writing. Occasionally I have time to read. I try to read “quality” books because it takes me a long time to get through them. So they’d better be good!
I will share recommendations for books that I’ve read through blog posts. Hope you expand your reading list!
Books so far: The Sweet Revenge of Celia Door by Karen Finneyfrock (YA novel)
A Man Called Ove, My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry, Britt Marie Was Here by Frederik Backman (fiction)
The Rook and Stilletto by Daniel O’Malley (fantasy)
Cozy mysteries by Juliet Blackwell, particularly The Haunted Home Renovation series.
